Message from UNESCO:
Let’s Work TogetherI am delighted that my soul-mate, Mr. Harith Wickrema, successful entrepreneur, self-made environmental ambassador, and former Ananda College student, has made it his dream to convert the Ananda College in Colombo, Sri Lanka, into an environmentally friendly demonstration hub and spread the Planet Green Force mission. I am pleased to facilitate collaboration with UNESCO to utilize the guidelines of the UNESCO Green Academies and Climate Science Literacy and assist Principal Lal Dissanayaka, his staff, and his wonderful students in this undertaking. Planet Green Force aims to not only inform and inspire Ananda students and teachers but also create change that will influence the community and beyond for future generations. Thank you, once again, dear Harith, dear Mr. Lal Dissanayaka, dear teachers, and students for kindly receiving me at Ananda College, it has been a truly rewarding and unforgettable experience. Ananda College’s plans, efforts, and enthusiasm give me hope that humanity can overcome the immense challenges caused by the ‘Triple-Planetary-Crisis,’ if we all work together.
